Conference Weekend

What a Fantastic Weekend this was! Amanda & Beau's wedding was wonderful! They were married in the SLC Temple. It was cold and rainy, and the wind blew but it turned out so nice.

I had a great day! It was so nice to spend time with Jessie & Kevin! It really makes me miss the old days! We had lunch Friday Afternoon at P.F. Chang's ! Karen had come up so she came with us. Doug was home helping his mom for preparation of game night before he could head up for the reception. It's funny how you don't realize what you've had till it's gone. Kevin was the gentleman of course and bought us all lunch. He even let the console come up in his new truck!

The picture below Kevin promised would go on the dash of his truck, next to the speedometer, because he was so lucky to spend the day with these two hot babes..

We then headed up to Ogden for the reception. Of course we had a hard time getting there ( I was with Jessie remember, who's never late? LOL!) Just kidding! It was raining like crazy and Jess and I were driving like Mario Andretti and Dale Earnhardt trying to get through all the traffic. Amanda was sweet enough to wait for us to throw the bouquet. No weddings bells in either of our futures unfortunately.

Check out Jess's Green galoshes. She was the envy of the night! Plus the fact that we were twinners in our cute little polka-dots!

Kevin met us and we went to the Prairie Schooner for dinner. It was great! We had Prime Rib. We ate in these cute little covered wagons. It was a lot of fun.
Then headed out for Logan.

I defiantly needed an Addi fix. She is getting so big. She loves to play peek-a-boo. It's so cute! It was really nice to hang out with Moey, Nick and even Buster!

Conference was really nice! I felt like the talks were very centered about what our basic beliefs are and that we need to strength those commitments. I also felt like it was a message to not only members but to the world. With Mitt Romney running for President of the United States the church has been under a magnifying glass. Since the passing away of Elder Faust we have been short one member to the council of the twelve. Elder Cook was called to be a new apostle and Elder Eyring was put into the first presidency.

I was planning on going to lunch with Seth on Saturday, but he didn’t make it back to Logan from Salt Lake so Monica, Addie and I went to lunch.
A couple months ago, Monica called work to tell me she had run into my future husband. Amy wrote this cute little note for me to call her. So Saturday, I finally meet Jeremy Peterson. We went on a double date with Monica and Odie to the Copper Mill Restaurant. It was very nice. Jeremy is originally from Redmond UT (down by Salina). He is now living in Logan. He works for IHC as the Supply Manager or something like that. He’s in charge of ordering all the supplies and equipment for the hospital. He seemed very nice. After dinner, we went back to Moey’s house and played games. Monica and Nick went to bed about 12:00 and Jeremy and I sat and visited till after 2:00 am. The best way to describe him is “meek” He is soft spoken, but not really shy.
